IAVA and some other veteran support organizations have been championing this cause for quite some time now.  It’s awesome to see it finally make it to the President’s desk.  Let hope it makes it through Congress and starts making a difference in our Veterans’ lives.  While the nation’s unemployment rate sits around 9%, these heroes are struggling with at rate over 30% higher.  Vets who served in the Middle East since 9/11 are experiencing over a 12% unemployment rate.

Veteran Employment Statistics

What is wrong with the priorities in this country?  You have to read this article in the Army Times about the DoD and the Veterans Jobs Bill? It’s unbelievable what our fellow vets are having to deal with after returning from the Middle East regarding getting a job in civilian life.

Then, you look at the Veteran Employment status, which is still unacceptable!

WOW! We have to do more, NOW!

The year over year Unemployment rate for Gulf War-era II veterans rose 2% in May making me wonder if last month was a fluke.  When you compare it to the Nonveteran numbers, it’s now 42% over the Nonveterans rate.

For yet another month, when we compare where the rates are for Gulf War-era II veterans to all the others in this report, the news gets even worse! The Gulf War-era II veterans, and in particular MEN who served in the Middle East after 9/11, are the only status categories STILL in the double digits!

2.  MISSION.  VetInvest conducts Basic Wholesale Marketing Course on 19 May, 2011.

3.  EXECUTION

Intent:  A veteran deserves the BEST America has to offer!  VetInvest personnel will conduct a Basic Wholesale Marketing Course for interested veterans.  The training will be conducted to inform veterans of the methods used to wholesale real estate for profit.  The primary goal is 100% understanding of the opportunities for wealth generation.  The secondary goal is to ensure the training is conducted with the utmost efficiency, professionalism, and to military standard.

a. Concept of Operations.

(1) How to make money working part-time while learning how to intelligently invest in real estate
(2) Which activities, techniques, and strategies will make deals come to you
(3) What opportunities are available within the VetInvest organization

b. Tasks to maneuver units.  None

c. Tasks to support units.  None

d. Coordinating Instructions.

(1) Time line:  8:30am to 4:30pm.
(2) Use of basement facilities, VFW Post 3631, 18545 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80011.
(3) Dress is Casual.   All veterans will bring a notebook and writing utensils.
